Course Description

Get your 8th grader ready to succeed on the Catholic High School Placement Test (HSPT). This 10-week virtual prep course is designed to strengthen your child’s academic skills, test strategies, and confidence heading into one of the most important exams of their middle school years. The HSPT is a key factor in Catholic high school admissions–and strong scores can influence both placement and scholarship opportunities. Taught by a certified educator with over 25 years of experience, this course blends small-group instruction with personalized feedback and authentic practice materials. WHAT'S INCLUDED: • A full-length pre-test (2.5 hours) to identify strengths and target areas • 10 live weekly online sessions (1 hour each) • A full-length post-test (2.5 hours) to measure growth • Final review session tailored to post-test results • Test prep binder + access to Google Classroom resources • Weekly vocabulary, reading, and math practice • Required HSPT Prep Book (available via Amazon) SCHEDULE DETAILS: • Start Date: September 9, 2025 • End Date: December 1, 2025 • Live Class Time: Mondays from 6:00–7:00pm CST • Location: Online via Zoom or Google Meet • Pre-Test: Weekend of September 6 • Post-Test: Weekend of November 15 • Both tests may be taken in person (Chicago area) or at home with mailed materials 5 SECTIONS ON THE HSPT: • Verbal • Quantitative • Reading • Mathematics • Language Cost: $800 Includes instruction, assessments, materials, and full access to resources.
